Lions and Tigers and Bears....Oh my!

Hopes are high that Fota Wildlife Park will be able to house lions and bears in the future if an ambitious expansion plan comes to fruition.
The wildlife park, which attracts up 450,000 people annually and is worth €170 million indirectly to the local econony, has just opened a new Asian Sanctuary.....
The 4.3 million euro development is already home to a number of endangered species including Sumatran Tigers and their most recent arrival, a 2 year old Indian Rhino..
Plans are afoot to continue expanding the Park over the next five years and the Government is being urged to assist in raising some of the five and half million euro needed for the next project
