LISTEN BACK: Lorna spoke to Neil after finding a used needle where her son was playing in Garryvoe

Cork Comedienne Lorna, aka Lorzy Lovy got in touch with the Neil Prendeville Show after a trip to Garryvoe.
In a message to the show, she said: "To say I'm absolutely disgusted and raging is an understatement.
"Garryvoe is near us, so we often bring my son there. As a toddler, he has energy to burn. He is at an age where he wants to walk and run himself, so with a big grassy patch, its ideal.
"To find a used needle (along with a lighter and bits of foil) in the grassy part (not on the beach) has made my blood boil. My son was running & playing there. Thank god I spotted it.
"The majority of us are abiding by the rules. We stay at home. Our kids have energy to burn. We only go out for exercise or shopping, yet there's scumbags out there carrying on like this. Who's accountable if my child fell on this? During these uncertain times, I would have had to risk his life taking him to hospital with Covid 19. Not to mention what he could have been infected with.
"To the person who used it, or any drug users reading this, I couldn't care less what you shoot into yourself but do it your own home. How would you feel if it was your child/niece/nephew etc who fell on it? If I saw the person there today, I can tell you now I would be going on holidays to Cork prison for myself."
