Units from Macroom, Bantry, Skibbereen and Dunmanway responded to the fire which started on Saturday and spread throughout the valley.

Fire crews were stood down shortly before 11 o'clock this morning however it's not yet known how the blaze started but it's understood the recent spell of dry weather played a part.
