An Bord Pleanala has approved plans for more than 270 apartments at the site however locals are worried about the increase in traffic volumes that could be created by the construction of the apartments
The plans include the construction of 274 apartments in two blocks of five and seven storeys and includes a mix of studio units
Local councillor Kieran McCarthy says the traffic will have to move through a small avenue with two local schools onto the narrow Blackrock Road
Speaking to RedFM News he says the concerns of local people are being lost in the decision-making process
