Locals In North Cork Struggling To Cope After A Fire At Water Treatment Plant Cut Off Their Supply 

The treatment facility in Freemount was seriously damaged when an electrical panel caught fire last Sunday. 

Irish Water and Cork County Council say they are working around the clock with specialist contractors to restore supply to around 4,000 people and are transporting water to fill reservoirs and pipelines. 

The utility also say temporary water stations will remain at locations in Freemount, Dromina, Milford and Liscarroll.
