Lord Mayor Welcomes €405 Million In Funding Allocated To Cork Under The Urban Regeneration And Development Project

Cllr. Joe Kavanagh says it's the 'biggest show of faith from a financial perspective in the history of the state'
Taoiseach Micheal Martin announced details of the funding in the City centre yesterday morning.
The money will be used to transform Cork, with major investment planned for the Grand Parade Quarter Project and City Docklands Project.
There will also be significant funding given to a number of towns Leeside, including Passage West, Ringaskiddy, Mallow, and Carrigaline.
There will be investment to regenerate Mallow Town Centre, funding to help design the Passagewest Cycleway, and a new civic space for Carrigaline.
Described as a gamechanger for Cork by local TDs, the investment will focus on infrastructure, transport, housing, and recreation across the City and County.
