Loss Of 216 Jobs At Cork Mail Centre Will Be Discussed At Oireachtas Communication's Committee

An Post Chief Executive David McRedmond will update TDs and Senators on the company's restructuring plans today
He's also due to give further details on the closure of the centre in Little Island.
The facility is due to close on a phases basis between now and March 2020, in a move An Post says will save €11 million.
Staff say the centre could be adapted for the growing parcel business and have vowed to fight the closure.
Speaking to RedFM News, Cork Solidarity TD Mick Barry, who is attending today's Oireachtas Committee meeting, says the centre should remain open:
