The newly launched Ludgate Digital Hub in Skibbereen has been described as a "game changer" for the West Cork town.
The initiative, which has already led to the creation of 30 jobs, aims to lead to the creation of 500 jobs over the next five years in West Cork.
The 10,000 square foot digital hub, is the first of its kind in a non-urban area in Ireland, and offers 1 Gigabit of broadband connection.
CEO of Ludgate HUB Grainne Dwyer told RedFM News that the hub is instrumental for rural areas
