Major Cork Concert Expected To Be Announced In The City Next Week

The press conference is being held in Pairc Ui Chaoimh where the 2020 gig will be unveiled.
MCD Promotions sent an invitation inviting media to the announcement at the stadium on Monday morning and speculation is mounting about the artist's identity.
This will be the third act to perform in the newly renovated Pairc Ui Chaoimh after Ed Sheeran played three nights in 2018 and Rod Stewart took to the stage for one night this summer.
One act whose name could be in the mix is Westlife. The four-piece group reformed this year and will be releasing their new album before the end of this year. Shane, Nicky, Mark and Kian recently finished up a tour of the UK and Ireland, finishing the tour with two sold out nights at Croke Park. Following the end of the tour it was rumoured that the group would perform in more venues across Ireland next year, with Cork being one of the locations.
The promoter has also said the artist in question will be in attendance on the morning of the press conference.
