Bus Éireann passengers are facing travel disruption again this morning.

Union members at the company are now heading into their eight day of strike action over cost cutting plans at the company.

Yesterday Transport Minister Shane Ross was dubbed "the invisible minister" by Sinn Féin, over his handling of the dispute.

Leeside pickets are continuing at Capwell Bus Depot and Parnell Place Bus Station in the city and in the county demonstrations have been mounted in Bandon, Skibbereen, Fermoy and Macroom.

Meanwhile Irish Rail is warning there's going to be extensive disruption to its services today as a result of the Bus Éireann dispute.

Picketing by its staff means all Cork commuter services are cancelled and all service on the Cork/Dublin route are cancelled.

Passengers are advised to check irishrail.ie for updates.
