Mallow Mum Appeals To The Health Minister To Sit Up And Take Notice Of Her Daughter

Olivia White was born with Rett's Syndrome which has left her totally dependent on her parents for care.
Sit up and take notice of my daughter and children like her
That's the appeal from one Mallow mother to the Health Minister, Simon Harris.
Monica White's 9 year old daughter Olivia was born with Rett's Syndrome, a rare neurological disorder which has left her totally dependent on her parents for care.
Olivia requires surgery to correct a severe curve in her spine, however she is unable to get on a waiting list for the surgery because an appointment for an essential MRI scan is scheduled for April next year.
Olivia is currently undergoing treatment for severe pneumonia at Cork University Hospital
Speaking to RedFM News, her mother Monica says children like Olivia are not just faceless patients
