Man (30s) due in court in the City after he was charged in relation to seizure of €140,000 of cannabis herb
Gardaí at a checkpoint on the M8 at Glanmire stopped a van at around 8:30pm on Tuesday and spoke to the driver.
The man was arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated and was brought to Mayfield Garda Station.
Gardaí found two bags containing the cannabis during a subsequent search.
A file will be prepared for the DPP in relation to the suspected driving whilst intoxicated incident.
