Man (80s) Pronounced Dead Following Single Vehicle Collision In Co Cork Overnight

Gardaí have launched an investigation following the crash in the Kilbonane area of Aherla
Emergency services attended the scene in the early hours of this morning, however the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
His body was removed to Cork University Hospital where a post mortem will take place and the road remains closed for a forensic examination.
Gardaí are appealing for anyone with any information, particularly anyone who traveled in the area between 9pm last night and 2:30am this morning to contact Macroom Gardaí on 026 20 590.
They are also asking anyone with dash cam footage of the area to call them.
