Man Arrested In Macroom After Threatening Passenger On Cork/Tralee Bus With Knife
Gardai have confirmed to RedFM News that a man in his 40's is in custody after threatening a fellow passenger with a knife on the Cork to Tralee bus earlier today.
It has been reported that other passengers on the bus became aware of what had occured and contacted Gardai.
When the Bus Eireann Expressway Bus stopped in Macroom the suspect jumped off and fled the scene, but was apprehended shortly afterwards.
The man is believed to be well known to Gardai and is currently in custody at Macroom Garda Station under section 4 of the criminal justice Act.
Gardai are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident to contact them.
