Man Arrested Over Death Of Homeless Man In The City

Gardai investigating the manslaughter of a homeless man whose body was found in a refuse chute in the city last week have arrested a 27-year-old man. Detectives detained the suspect in the city centre at around 5.30pm and brought him to the Bridewell Garda Station for questioning. The body of Liam Manley was found in a refuse chute at the North Gate Apartment Complex on Bachelor's Quay at around 5.30pm on Monday May 13th. Gardai had to use dental records to identify Mr Manley who was originally from Bakers' Road in Gurranabraher but had been living with the Simon Community for years.
