Man charged in connection with hijacking Leeside
The 23-year-old is due to appear in Cork District Court next week.
A 23 year old man has been charged in connection with a carjacking in North Cork yesterday morning in which a woman was helf at knife point.
Vincent Morley - who is originally from Gurranabraher but has been living in Bweeng - was remanded in custody for a week after his court appearance this morning
The incident happened on the outskirts of Grenagh when the woman stopped to see if a man standing on the side of the road needed help.
She was dragged from the car before the man drove off.
Gardai later found the car crashed near Mallow.
No application for bail was made and he was remanded in custody to appear at Cork District Court next Thursday.
