Man Dies in Cork Traffic Accident
 
                            
An elderly man was knocked down and killed during rush-hour traffic in Cork last night. The accident happened on the eastbound stretch of South City Ring Rd between the Sarsfield and Bandon Rd Roundabouts at about 6.30pm. The victim who was in his 70's, is understood to be originally from the North Cork area. Gardai are appealing for witnesses to contact Bishopstown station.
