A man has been remanded in custody in connection with a €40,000 drugs seizure Leeside.
The haul was made by customs officers at Cork Airport over the weekend.
Jeremiah Steffan, formerly of Cornmarket St, Cork, was charged with two offences relating to the discovery of a half a kilo of cocaine at Cork Airport at the weekend.
The 28-year-old had just disembarked from a flight from Faro, was charged with possession and possession for sale or supply of cocaine at Cork Airport on Saturday, July 25th.
Gardaí applied for a remand in custody, Mr. Steffan made no application for bail and Judge Leo Malone remanded him in custody to appear again at Cork District Court tomorrow
