Man injured in shooting in Cork City this afternoon
A man has been shot in the back in Cork City this afternoon.
Gardai have confirmed to RedFM News that the incident happened at 5pm at Great William O'Brien Street in Blackpool.
Emergency services were called to the scene and a man in his 30's was taken to Cork University Hospital.
The extent of his injuries are not known, but they are thought to be non life threatening.
Gardai at Mayfield are appealing for any witnesses to call them on (021) 455 8510.
