Man questioned about weekend shooting released without charge

A 29-year-old man appeared in court today in relation to the incident.

A man in his sixties being questioned in relation to the shooting of a young woman in an attack on a house in the city at the weekend has been released without charge.

He was arrested by gardaí yesterday evening and taken to Gurranabraher Garda station.

Earlier, a 29 year old man appeared in court in connection with the incident at Hollywood Estate and he has been remanded in custody until later this month on gun charges. 

Gavin Sheehan of Laurel Ridge, Shanakiel was arrested in the early hours of last Sunday morning by Gardai investigating the shooting in Hollyhill.
