Man To Appear In Court Today Following Attempted Carjacking In Douglas

A man in his 20s is due to appear in court today charged with an attempted carjacking in Douglas on Tuesday night.
The man threatened a woman with a knife and ordered her to leave the car when it was stopped at traffic lights near the Douglas Shopping centre at 11:10pm.
It's understood the man was startled when the traffic lights turned green and he fled on foot towards Willow Park.
The Garda Dog Unit was dispatched to the scene and the man was arrested following a struggle...
The victim, who is in her 40's was not injured during the incident
