Managing Director of Cork Airport made the comments earlier today.
The Managing Director of Cork Airport has moved to dismiss the notion that the terminal debt is hampering the operations at the airport.
Niall MacCarthy says that the level of debt currently stands at €200 million but this is being serviced by the Dublin Airport Authority.
He has conceded that cheaper landing charges at Shannon Airport are having an impact but he says Cork is competitive and is continuing to attract new airlines and new routes and will service 2 million passengers this year..
