Many People Roll Their Eyes When Conversation Turns To The Events Centre

That's according to Cork TD Donnchadh Ó Laoghaire who raised the issue of the stalled project in the Dáil yesterday. 

His comments follow the news last week that an updated planning application for the development must be submitted, which could take 6 to 8 weeks.

There are also fears that €12 million funding could be at risk if progress isn't made by next year

The sod was turned on the project by former Taoiseach Enda Kenny in February 2016

Speaking in the Dail last night, Deputy Donnchadh Ó Laoghaire says the recent Ed Sheeran concerts showed that Cork has great potential when it comes to hosting large events
