Michael Collins remembered on the 95th anniversary of his death
The commander in chief of the Irish army was ambushed and killed at Beal na mBláth on August 22nd, 1922
Hundreds of people are expected to attend the annual Beal na mBláth commemoration event today which is held every year on the Sunday closest to the day of his death.
The commemoration gets underway at 3pm and Senior Vice President of the European Parliament Mairead McGuiness will deliver this years oration with both Lord Mayor and County Mayor in attendance.
