Minister For Health Urged To Review Hospital Bed Capacity

The Minister for Health is being urged to order a review of bed capacity in Irish hospitals.
New figures released to Fianna Fáil under parliamentary questions show there's been a significant drop in the number of elective surgeries.
There were 187,000 elective discharges in 2012 - however that was down to just over 86,000 last year.
The party's TD Jack Chambers says efforts to ease hospital overcrowding are causing long-term health issues for patients:
