Muhammad Ali has died

He passed away in hospital in Phoenix Arizona, after a 32 year fight with Parkinson's disease


The Boxing legend Muhammad Ali has died at the age of 74.

A family spokesperson confirmed he passed away in hospital in Phoenix Arizona - after a 32 year fight with Parkinson's disease.

It's reported he'd been suffering from respiratory complications.

In 1972 Ali fought Al Blue Lewis in Croke Park and returned to Ireland in 2003 attended the venue for the Special Olympics. 

Ali became a civil rights activist and in an interview broadcast in 1972 compared the struggles of Americans to those on our shores:
