The unresolved murder of a Bandon mother 35 years ago has been referred to the Serious Crime Review Team.
The SCRT was established 9 years ago and it's objective is to review unresolved homicides and other serious crimes within the State.
The team believe there is a real "potential" to progress the investigation into the death of Innishannon woman Nora Sheehan who was murdered in June 1981
The body of the mother of three was found at Shippool in Innishannon by forestry workers after she had been missing for over a week.
She was last seen alive outside the South Infirmary Hospital, for treatment for a dog bite to her arm on 6th June 1981.
The Serious Crime review team is working with the Guards in Bandon in a bid to solve her murder
