Murder weapon recovered
The weapon used to murder a man in North Cork six years ago has been recovered. David Brett's body was discovered on a quiet road outside Foyle National School near Ballydesmond on May 21st 2007. An inquest concluded that he had been shot in the head and neck. Over 200 statements have been taken in the investigation and gardai have had a breakthrough after locating the murder weapon.
