National protest march planned for Dunnes Stores Mandate members
It will take place Saturday June 6th.
Mandate members at Dunnes Stores voted unanimously in favour of a national protest march outside the company's head office in Dublin on June 6th.
Shop stewards from 100 stores met yesterday to decide the next step for the Decency for Dunnes Workers Campaign.
Earlier this month, up to 6,000 workers took part in a nationwide day of strike action, with 600 workers taking to the picket line across 13 outlets in Cork in a row over pay and conditions.
Speaking to RedFM News, Mandate's Lorraine O'Brien says the march is an opportunity to channel the support she says workers received on their day of strike action by inviting anyone who wants to show solidarity with their campaign.
