Naval Officers Collecting Money To Help Colleagues Pay For Food
Naval officers are reported to be organising whip arounds to help their colleagues pay for food and subsistence.
The Irish Examiner reports there are significant delays in payments to navy recruits with up to 30 people said to be affected.
It comes after a new report revealed this week members of the Defence Forces are living in squalor in some barracks - with Dublin's Rathmines base nicknamed Hotel Rwanda.
It's understood more than 60 personnel are quitting each month over low morale across our military.
