New Bantry Blueway the first of it's kind in Munster

It's hoped the initiative will attract tourists to the area.
Munster's first ever Blueway was launched in Bantry today.
Blueways are water paths or trails designed for kayakers, paddle borders and canoesists.
Paddlers of all levels and abilities are catered for and the Blueway consists of launch points, camping locations and points of interests.
The Bantry Blueway is set to take people through one of three trails between 2 to 9 kilmometres throughout Bantry Harbour and include some sites like Whiddy island and the Abbey Slipway along the way.
Speaking to RedFM News, Harbour Master of the Port of Cork Company Captain Paul O'Regan says they hope the new Blueway will bring new visitors into the area.
