New Business Centre In Cork To Bring 500 Jobs On Stream
There has been good news on the jobs front today as a multi-national fire and security company is to open a business services centre in Cork. Up to 500 positions are to be created at Tyco over the next three years. Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation Richard Bruton was in Cork today to announce the proposed establishment of a business services centre in Cork that could see Tyco potentially create more than 500 positions locally over three years. The company currently employs 65,000 people in nearly 50 countries provides more than three million customers around the globe with the latest fire protection and security products and services. It is hoped the centre in Cork would improve the efficiency of processes in several central support functions, including sourcing and procurement, customer service, research and development, information technology, and finance. Tyco has expressed interest in building a local talent pool that could eventually help fill those roles.
