New Campaign to tackle out of control drinking.
The chair of a Diageo-funded alcohol awareness campaign says regulation alone is not enough to tackle alcohol misuse in Ireland.
The Stop Out-of-Control Drinking campaign released their report this week which stopped short of calling for a ban on alcohol sponsorship of sport.
It recommended a range of other measures including a national Foundation to Reduce Alcohol Misuse in Ireland by 30% before 2025.
Speaking to RedFM News Chair of the campaign and Barnardos chief executive Fergus Finlay says while they support government efforts to tackle the problem there needs to be a change in attitudes towards drink:
