New Cork town given a life line

It follows a meeting of Cork County Council in which many councillors planned to vote against the development of Monard.

A new Cork town has been given a life line after councillors yesterday signalled their intentions to vote against the development plans for it.

Concerns had been expressed over several aspects of the plan for Monard, which council planners had spent eight years working on.
