New Government Report Finds Cork Airport Does Not Need New Terminal Capacity Or Runways

A new government report has found that Cork Airport does not need new terminal capacity or runways.
MEP Deirdre Clune had called for a longer runway at Cork Airport to enable bigger aircraft to land and take off from the airport which she said had the potential to expand the transatlantic offering from Cork.
The new study commissioned by the Department of Transport says new boarding gates, passenger facilities and stands are needed to cope with the projected growth in passenger numbers, which are expected to grow to up to 4.6 million annually.
Speaking to RedFM News Communications Manager at Cork Airport Kevin Cullinane says regardless of what the report contains they're planning for the future:
