New National Cancer Strategy To Be Launched Today
The Minister for Health is today launching a new National Cancer Strategy for the next ten years.
The plan is aimed to bring the management of national cancer care up to the year 2026 - focusing on prevention, early, diagnosis, treatment and quality of life.
The Cabinet is viewing the plan this morning - before its official launch at Iveagh House, when Minister Simon Harris will be joined by Minister Catherine Byrne, Professor John Kennedy, as well as cancer patients, survivors and other key stakeholders.
In a statement ahead of the launch, the Irish Cancer Society says it is determined to ensure that cancer patients remain at the heart of cancer services here.
