New partnership to increase awareness of needs of people with learning difficulties, autism and communication barriers

NOW Group and Lidl have unveiled plans to roll out JAM cards in all of Lidl's Irish stores ahead of World Autism Day on Friday.

The Just A Minute Card was developed for people with learning difficulties and disabilities and lets other shoppers and staff know that people may need extra time and patience in places like supermarkets

Speaking to RedFM News, NOW Group ambassador and Cork native Ciarán Delaney says he's delighted to see another business get on board:

"As you may be aware, it's already on Bus Éireann, Allied Irish Bank and Bank of Ireland, so I'm looking forward to the JAM Card being rolled out across the community so that people like myself won't have experiences that we are currently encountering and it's great that Lidl have taken on board the feedback provided so that we can have a comfortable experience while shopping in their stores."
