New Plans To Catch Motor Tax Evaders

New plans are being drawn up to use toll cameras on the M50 to try and catch motor tax evaders. The government hopes the iniatitive will raise up to 50 million euro in lost motor tax revenue every year. Department of Transport officials are working on plans to cross check car registrations of vehicles that use the toll with their own tax records. It's hoped that the system can be extended to other toll roads and speed-check cameras if it's a success.
