New World Record For Meelin

A North Cork village is the home of a new world record. Meelin has entered the Guinness Book of Records after it hosted the biggest hurling match in history in August. 916 people participated in matches which lasted 6 hours. The previous record was 250 and was set by a club in London. Each person who participated in the event has been awarded a special certicificate by the Meelin club.
