Newly Appointed Senator has 7 thousand mile trip to the Seanad

A newly appointed Senator says he still doesn't know if the taxpayer will foot the bill for his 7-thousand mile round-trip to the Seanad.
Billy Lawless who lives and works in Chicago has been appointed to the Upper House by the Taoiseach Enda Kenny.
He was one of 11 Senators named last Friday.
But he doesn't yet know how he'll manage the job or who'll pay for his travel:
