No escaping checkpoints this weekend

The message comes from the gardaí ahead of the Bank Holiday weekend.
Gardaí will be out in full force this weekend conducting mandatory alcohol test checkpoints across the city and county.
The message is that there'll be no escaping checks right across the three garda divisions of Cork City, Cork North and Cork West.
It comes after recent figures revealed a significant increase in the number of checkpoints with over 400 extra being operated in the city alone in the second quarter of this year.
Meanwhile mototrists are also being advised to watch out for the signs of driver fatigue in a new campaign by the Road Safety Authority.
Speaking to RedFM News Brian Farrell of the RSA says people need to realise how dangerous it is to fight sleep at the wheel.
