North Cork man banned from ever owning dogs

Picture shows one of the dogs happy and healthy after being re-homed A North Cork man has been banned from ever owning dogs again after he was convicted of animal cruelty Judge Brian Sheridan imposed a three month suspended sentence on 80 year old Andrew Doherty of Rowels in Meelin. The case resulted from a visit made to his property by an ISPCA inspector in February of this year where 4 Collie dogs were found dead and another 4 were found in an emaciated condition tied to chains in sheds.
