North Cork man jailed for dangerous driving causing death

Shane Fitzgerald has been jailed for six and a half years.
North Cork man Shane Fitzgerald has been jailed for six and a half years for dangerous driving causing the death of a cyclist in County Kerry three years ago.
The Judge also disqualified the 23 year old from Newmarket from driving for 10 years.
Paud O'Leary from Leamyglissane, Gneeveguilla was killed while out out training for a charity cycle on the morning of the 1st of July 2012
Shane Fitzgerald was convicted by a jury at Tralee Circuit Criminal Court last month, and sentenced today.
The final 18 months of his sentence has been suspended.
