North Cork man released without charge following arrest over hit and run

Gardaí are now preparing a file for the DPP.

Gardaí are to prepare a file for the DPP after they last night released without charge a 70-year-old man arrested for questioning about the death of a father of four in a hit and run incident on the Cork/Kerry border three years ago.

Detectives arrested the man at his home in Meelin in North Cork at around 8 o'clock yesterday morning.
