North Cork School aims to be operational for new school term

Provisions are being made to ensure that a North Cork school, which was gutted by a fire last week, will be operational by August 25th, in time for the new school term.
The fire at the Patrician Academy broke out in the early hours of July 13th and left it extensively damaged despite the best efforts of firefighters
The Department of Education has been liaising with the school in a bid to ensure that pupils, parents and staff will be accommodated in time for the new school term.
Speaking to RedFM News Cork TD Sean Sherlock says once preliminary investigations are carried out and insurances issues are dealt with, the priority will be re-building a new school:
