Numbers sleeping rough Leeside soar
Cork Simon have expressed concerns about the number accessing their services.
The number of people sleeping rough in Cork city is nine times higher this year, than it was four years ago.
The Cork Simon Community says there were 35 people sleeping on the streets in 2011 and they’ve already dealt with 311 people by the end of October this year.
Outreach worker from the Cork Simon Community, Brian Quinn, says it’s an incredibly tough job at the moment.
