One Of Cork's Newest Gardaí Was Involved In The Arrest Of A Suspected Shoplifter This Week

The probationary Garda is one of eight members who started in Anglesea street on Monday following calls for increased Garda resources in the City.
The Garda and his colleagues arrested the woman in her 30's on Maylor Street yesterday in relation to three thefts from shops in the city centre.
She was found with around €900 worth of clothing, toys and cosmetics and is due to appear before Cork District Court this morning.
24 additional Gardaí were also posted to the city on a temporary basis until the new year.
