One person removed from scene of burning building and treated for smoke inhalation in Cork City
The blaze on Castle St was brought under control by Cork City fire brigade.
One person was removed from the scene of a burning building in Cork City overnight.
It's understood the person was in a neighbouring building at the time.
Emergency services received a call about a large amount of smoke billowing from a commercial premises on Castle St. shortly before 11 o'clock.
Over half a dozen units of the Cork City fire service battled the blaze with the last unit leaving the scene at 5am this morning.

RedFM News has learned that the fire started in I.T store itcentral.ie and has affected its neighbouring premises located at either side including clothing store Darkslide.
The buildings inspector from Cork City Council is due to examine the building later this morning but until gardaí have advised RedFM News that Castle St remains closed to traffic, vehicles and pedestrians following a fire in a premises last night.
