OPW are continuing to accept submissions for Cork's Flood Relief Scheme as the deadline approaches

The deadline for submissions on the proposed Lower Lee Flood Relief Scheme is April 7th
Officials at the Office of Public Works have fulfilled their obligations, with regard to public consultation, on Cork's Flood Relief Scheme.
That's according to the Minister for the OPW who says all submissions from concerned groups will continue to be accepted until the deadline date.
That's despite claims from the Save Cork City Group that the OPW did not engage with their request for a meeting to offer an alternative to the current proposals.
The Group have criticized what they say is minimal public consultation on the €140 million euro flood relief scheme.
However, Speaking to RedFM News Minister for the OPW Sean Canney says this is not the case.
