Organisers of the Cork Summer Show say the event has gone from strength to strength over the last eight years.
The event is underway in Curraheen Showgrounds and runs all day until 6 o'clock.
Records numbers are expected to attend this year with helicopter rides now on offer as well as a host of activities including farming events, pet dog shows, free rides, cookery demonstrations, fashion shows and live music.
Speaking to RedFM News Chairman of the Munster Agricultural Society Robert Harkin says the event is getting bigger every year:
